Luke Lewin Davies is an academic, a director and a writer. His academic research focusses on cultural representations of poverty and anti-capitalist literature published in Britain between 1850 and 1950. As a theatre director, his productions have toured to Adelaide, Berlin, Avignon, Dublin, Barcelona, Paris and across the UK. As a writer, he has published fiction and non-fiction in the Times Literary Supplement, Literary Review, The Los Angeles Review of Books, The London Magazine and elsewhere. He is currently a lecturer in English Literature at Keele University, and is a Fellow at the Centre for Contemporary Theatre at Birkbeck University.
